I purchased a Korg Volca Keys back in March. A few months later I started noticing some corrosion around one of the battery terminals, even though the batteries themselves seemed fine with no leakage. Ever since, I've noticed that some of the keys on the lower range of the keyboard (near where I found the corrosion) work intermittently.

Rather than contact Korg (which would have been the smart thing to do), I opened the Volca Keys and used some compressed air and a tiny bit of contact spray on the circuit board. This fixed the problem for awhile but the same keys are once again not working.

Has anyone else encountered a problem like this? I'm starting to wish that I purchased an extended warranty at the store when I got this unit as I could have just swapped it out for a new unit.

And just like that, the Volca Keys seem to be working again. I wonder if its susceptible to humidity and heat. I didn't do anything with it other than to not turn it on for a day. It seems to work perfectly fine now but I'm certain the problem will reoccur at some point in the future.
