I think that's the most recent one. Did you find any differences? |

Yes. In the SysExDumps/SetList.txt
Cause of the new Set Lists features, the bytes are at least divided differently.
E.g. Bit 7-0 from byte 49 is not the bank. Just the bits 4-0... _________________ Organize your sounds with the free software

Right. Sorry, I'm not really a SysEx expert and have never needed to consult the documentation. I've seen the 2.1 file change hands here a few times as "most up to date" but hopefully someone who knows more has an even newer one! |

I don't know if there is an official update holding all of the different files. But I have received updates to some of these directly from Korg. I think the last one was 12/15/14 - Might be a newer once since then.
The version I have does indeed have a different byte 49 than the one found in the 2.1 package:
| 49 | 4~0 | Slot 0 Performance Bank | 00~1E
| | 7~5 | Transpose mod (MSB 3bits) | E8~18
You should contact Korg and see if it is available. _________________ My mostly Kronos videos:

Yes. Thank you. But I wonder that Korg makes a secret of it. Why don't publish the new SysExDump documentation? _________________ Organize your sounds with the free software

The sysex documentation will be available, the web sites always seem to take a time to be updated though!
I would email them or pm danatkorg on this forum. |

They don't make a secret of things. Just ask. Or wait until it is posted. The number of people that actually need that document is pretty small and I am sure it is a fairly low priority, but it gets updated. _________________ My mostly Kronos videos:

I also do not know the reason, since most of the documentation is available.
Somehow, the Oasys documentation is not available at all and had to sign an NDA for it. Also I promised not to sent any other documentation received from Korg, but I'm sure if you have a good reason he will sent it to you (at least the updated Kronos sysex documents).
For older workstations, the sysex info is part within the manual. _________________

Resurrecting this thread.
Has anyone been able to obtain the OS3.x SYSEX documentation from Korg?
I'm trying to program some of the parameters and after wrestling with the available 2.x documentation for sometime discovered a few moments ago that the 2.x docs are missing several bytes (discovered using the useful tip elsewhere on this forum of using the Kronos Editor MIDI Monitor capability).
I've emailed Korg with a request but hoping someone here might already have done so and be able to share.
Seems bizarre this important information isn't released already. |

Probably you have to wait ... I have OS3.0 documentation but afaik I'm not allowed to spread it and I want to stay on good terms with Korg.
I'm sure you will get the information you need. _________________

Fully understand your situation, glad to see someone did receive the documentation.
At the moment I've tried contacting Korg with technical requests via my Local Australian Korg distributor and Korg USA. In the first case I received no reply, and Korg USA said to contact my local distributor.
Let the circlular requests begin!
Unfortunately an all to familiar support response from organisations when a unusual technical request is made and the first Tier of consumer support doesn't know how to answer the question.
If anyone has a more technical contact channel for Korg to which I can make my request directly it would be appreciated if you are able to share - but don't breach any trust in your relationship.
I will try the local distributor again (and I fear again, and again...) along with a follow up to Korg USA.
For the moment I seem to have worked out he minor difference that were causing my problem (and corrected my misinterpretation of part of the doco ) so I can keep moving forward with my development. |
