Hello, everyone. I can't figure out this patching stuff. Particularly when it comes to a CV LFO. I just got a BSP. Voltage is set correctly. The gate is set correctly. I just can't figure out were to plug this stuff in. Heh. CV out on the BSP gives me pitch, velocity, and gate for both sequencers along with midi out, clock out, and a bunch of drum gates. I've searched and searched online, even trying to copy what was going on in videos. I just can't seem to get it to work how I want it to. I guess my understanding of this is pretty lacking. Sad

I want to use Seq. 1 to play the notes (done via midi out) and I want to use Seq. 2 as an LFO for cutoff (or whatever else) so that it's in time instead of tuning the built-in frequency generator.

Can anyone give me a "plug this here, then this..." quick setup for this? It'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Found this on Arturia. Maybe worth a shot:

The velocity out is actually another CV out that can be used like CV for anything. So CV out to CV in, GATE out to GATE in, and then try Velocity out to LP Filter Cutoff Freq in. On the MS-20 set LPF Cutoff Frequency Knob to about 3.5, Peak to 10, MG/T.EXT 0 and EG2/Ext to 10. On the BSP press play and set SEQ1 knobs to Velocity. Assuming you start with a 16 beat pattern twirl all the knobs down to 0. Now start with beat knob 1 and bring it up to max. It should now chirp at you on that beat.

Duuuuuuuude. Thank you so much. Thank you thank you thank you. I now have SEQ1 playing the notes and SEQ2 adjusting the cutoff.

Cool!
Remember it can all be done with just SEQ1. It sends both MIDI and control voltages all the time. In your case you'd just use one cable Velocity out and just let MIDI do the notes.

Now when you have a few minutes start with this little primer. It's for the iPad app but also applies to the hardware.

And when there's nothing interesting on TV watch these very helpful videos.
