Hey all,

Just got a notification from my vendor in germany that they received a faulty batch of the electribe2 sampler and are going to to return it to KORG.
Anyone receiving similar news?
Is it just a local phenomen and I should just look for a different shop?

Can you ask your vendor what was wrong with Electribe Samplers? I was informed today that my Korg Electribe 2 AND Korg Electribe 2 Sampler has been sent to me, and reading this make me kinda paranoid... Very Happy

Just talked back with my vendor. Yea its the Pads. He told me they were glued in all messy and uneven and they decided not to sell these units. Seems like atleast there are trustworthy vendors out there.

My dealer is also looking in to this. Mine didn't have glue (Korg actually glues this?) but they were well below the frame. Specially in the middle. Seems like a dip in the PCB.

Anyways, I'm off to buy my new drum machine and a pair of sunglasses.

I got my Electribe 2 and Electribe 2 Sampler last friday. I noticed that instead Electribe 2 Sampler pads having this problem they are just fine, but Electribe 2 pads does have "sunken" pads. So, it's not just E2S.

Only the firmware and paint job differs. Both models have this issue. And while some don't experience it is a problem, it definitely is a problem. The pads are not supposed to be below the frame.

It's great when you can live with it, but not speaking out or complaining will only push Korg in to a direction where they will not even acknowledge this as a problem. Though when dealers are starting to return stocks they should wake up.
