Is there a way to use korg gadget and at the same time other app playing backing tracks, that is, running two music apps simultaniously? |

No, dont think its standard possible but, try out yourself?
BUT Only some "simple" combination could work, like I can play (start first) mp3/mp4 with VLC player then with Yamaha Synth & Dr Pad can sound together.
Or Sleep Pillow together with Yamaha Synth works together BUT not Sleep Pillow with VLC.
So very random which works with which. |

Thanks for answering. For the time being, I think I'll use my phone for backing tracks and the ipad for playing live. |

YES with Audiobus app from appstore!
You'll need Audiobus Compatible Apps:
Just test it with 4 apps playing together simultaneously all sounds playing!
1) Korg Gadget
2) Korg iMS20
3) Yamaha Mobile Sequencer
4) Yamaha Synth & Dr Pad
There's a glitch when adding Gadget, first load Gadget alone then make New blank without any gadgets. Force close Gadget app.
Now with Audiobus add/open Gadget, now it work normally instead return to desktop. |

Yes any app you currently have that runs background audio, (most of mine do) will continue playing your backing tracks while you control Gadget. No Audiobus required even. |
