guys, we have managed to put the Es2 OS on the E2, but the samples are mixed with the originals and there are some problems with sample slots, can you read the full post (its the first on this forum) and try to help us with a special version for hacked e2? you should make it free for the moment because we can have legal problems with that hack, but, i think Korg will take benefit of this...

Sorry, but at the moment we have no plans to make a special version for the hacked electribe.rowf wrote:guys, we have managed to put the Es2 OS on the E2, but the samples are mixed with the originals and there are some problems with sample slots, can you read the full post (its the first on this forum) and try to help us with a special version for hacked e2? you should make it free for the moment because we can have legal problems with that hack, but, i think Korg will take benefit of this...
If rumors are true and Korg will release a firmware swap officially, we will update the apps if necessary of course.

I understand the need for this is precarious, but shouldn't it be effortless enough to just leave the incompatible slots grayed out?Spleen wrote: Sorry, but at the moment we have no plans to make a special version for the hacked electribe.

Aside from that, file structure is exactly the same. So far I've used your Sample Manager to put together a couple of banks for my grey sampler and it worked very well. I just had to put dummy wavs on the bad slots, and delete them before saving.
Re: Electribe Sample Manager (Win)
Thanks, just bought the Mac one...as Im only using user samples its really helped getting them organised. Couldnt get my electribe to work with the other free editor but this works perfectlySpleen wrote:The Windows version of the Electribe Sample Manager is now available.
Unlike the Mac Version we are offering it for free.

Have fun!
I solved. The problem was the samples bitrate to 32, not the software.I try to create different ".all" files with "Electribe Sampler Manager" but when I insert the SD card in the Electribe I read the message
"Format Error"
If I insert other backups of ".all" its works fine.
I tried exporting with "Electribe Sampler Manager" ".all" as empty files, or "User Samples", or with file "Factory Samples".
The result is always the same. Any help please?
quick tip for "batch" processing wav files to 16 bit:
get audacity. it's free. you drag multiple samples into the window. Select all (Ctrl+A) and under "Tracks" in the menu bar, select "Stereo Track to Mono". This may take a while depending on how many files are loaded up. THEN-- under "File" in the menu bar, select "Export Multiple" (Ctrl+Shift+L). You'll need to point it to the folder you want them output to-- but only the first time.
16bit PCM is the default output I believe--- double check. Then click the "Export" button on the popup.
If you want to erase the metadata on each track, you'll have to do it manually for each track, but it's as easy as clicking the "clear" button each time the window pops up.
I did hundreds in a short amount of time once I figured out what I was doing.
Happy processing, folks!
