All right.
Post here, your one and only one favourite performance with the Electribe2. Not the sampler, just the synth. No other gear, just the tribe.

Hey sauce, I've been meaning to ask you, you're one of the few who's had really constructive critisism on the new sampler tribe, yet you've really given it a chance, seeing your videos and listening to your (bloody fantastic) sample sets for the new tribe.
What's your take on it now compared to the ESX, now that you've gotten to know it and obviously produce good things with it? |

The ES2 sounds good and there a few obvious improvements, multiple keyboard parts being the main one. Overall, the ESX is a superior instrument with far more advanced and intuitive performance qualities. If I had to use only one or the other (and nothing else) I would likely choose the new Sampler because of the nice-sounding synths and better potential for full, all-in-one songs (although the 4-bar limit is very, very frustrating in this regard). Fortunately, I am not in that position and, while the experience has been fun, I will be selling the ES2 in the coming months. The ESX, for what it does, is unrivaled in price vs performance, and has a permanent place in my studio and live hardware setup. _________________ Visit https://ghostwrittenclips.com for a FREE pack of robot-war/mech/cinematic fx samples. =) |

This one was my first pick! I know it's not for everyone but the skill level involved is pretty tight. _________________ Korg PX5d

not many people make music that inspire me on the electribe.. but this guy is one of the few... there arent a lot of people making beats that swing to the hip hop side of things but this guy did.. like 7 years ago.. |

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful.
It's a curious thing. I borrowed the ES2 for a few weeks and did a few nice things with it, but never quite liked it. There just wasn't any chemistry. Then I have my Volca Sample and after an evening's play, boom, I've put together a track on that little bugger alone, and loved every minute of it.
I wonder if perhaps the ESX might, for me, be the Volca Sample experience deluxe. Not to mention the two of them together might make a beatiful pair. |

The music is good. It's a shame that Korg have placed "humor" so high on the rating scale that people have to flop chicken-style in hope of being noticed. _________________ Visit https://ghostwrittenclips.com for a FREE pack of robot-war/mech/cinematic fx samples. =) |
