Today my "new" ESX SD arrived ... it's like coming home for christmas Very Happy

I sold my last ESX immediately after the E2S has been announced. This decision was a bit premature Brick wall After months of looking for a ESX SD in mint condition, I'm happy again. Nevertheless, I think I'll keep the E2S for travelling and sofa sessions.

Coming home for Christmas: Warm and familiar for about 3 hours, with a creeping cabin fever and family-derrived depression that culminates in hiding at a bar or movie theater.

Oh boy. I look forward to hearing stuff you make with it. And I'm mostly interested in whether or not it causes you to abandon your electribes Smile

OP1 seems like a great instrument to dig into. Lots to learn but fun and rewarding.

Nice OLED display! Wish the electribes had those.

The OP-1 is probably the one instrument of mine that I might never get rid of. Can do some amazing thing if you put in the time.

May I ask >>PURELY<< out of interest, what made you buy another ESX?

It's difficult to describe for me. I simply can't "connect" with the E2S. I get much better and faster results with the ESX. And 8 bars, of course Very Happy

Fair enough. If the connection isn't there then...

There is something about the new electribes that appeals to me so much that i'm willing to accept/work around all their quirks, flaws, omissions and restrictions and prefer using them over the old ones. The ESX/EMX were limited in some aspects (compared to the new ones) but are much more well thought out, powerful and predictable in other aspects.

Swings and roundabouts, six of one/half a dozen of the other, each to their own.... Etc etc etc...
