KRONOS 61/73/88
KRONOS X 61/73/88
KRONOS 2 61/73/88
System Version 3.0.4 December 5, 2015
Changes Since KRONOS System Version 3.0.3
General
Improvements
EXs Expansion Sample Series numbers greater than EXs124 are now supported.
Note that when installing EXs libraries numbered 125 or higher, System Version
3.0.4 or later is required.
Using the “Level Meters Off” setting now provides a greater improvement to
polyphony. (This parameter, found on the Global mode - Basic Setup page,
disables the level meters for Oscillators, Timbres, Tracks, effects, etc.)
Bug fixes
When using commands such as “Remap MS/Sample Banks,” the progress-bar
window might have become fuzzy. This has now been fixed.
Program mode (HD-1)
Bug fixes
When playing a Mono Legato program with Portamento On/Off, note-ons might
have generated no sound or incorrect pitches. This has now been fixed.
Program mode (AL-1)
Improvements
The numeric keypad may now be used to edit the OSC1/2 “Initial Phase”
parameter.
Sequencer mode
Improvements
In the “Put Pattern to MIDI Track,” “Copy Pattern to MIDI Track,” and “Load
Template Song” dialogs, the selected Pattern can now be played by using the
front-panel SEQUENCER [START/STOP] button.
Bug fixes
In rare cases, editing pattern assignments for keys on the “RPPR Setup” page
might have caused an operational error. This has now been fixed.
In addition to those listed above, various other minor improvements and bug fixes
are also included in this update.

Here's the full announcement. Wow, this keyboard just gets better and better!

Thank you Korg!

Korg is pleased to announce a new software update for the KRONOS, version 3.0.4, as well as the availability of fifteen new Sound Libraries: nine from Purgatory Creek Soundware including two collaborations with Acousticsamples, three from Bolder Sounds, and three from KApro.
There are so many new sounds that we can only give you a taste in this email; for full details, including audio demos, please check out the KRONOS Sound Libraries site:

KRONOS System Version 3.0.4
KRONOS software version 3.0.4 includes various improvements and resolutions of a few specific operational issues.
We recommend that all KRONOS, KRONOS X and new KRONOS users update to version 3.0.4. This update may be installed on any KRONOS, regardless of the currently installed system version; it is not necessary to install intermediate upgrades first.
Note that when installing EXs libraries numbered 125 or higher, such as the new titles from Purgatory Creek, Bolder and KApro, System Version 3.0.4 or later is required.

New EXs libraries:
Purgatory Creek Soundware:
・ EXs140 Purgatory Creek Mark I - 1975: US $25
・ EXs141 Purgatory Creek Mark II - 1980: US $25
・ EXs142 Purgatory Creek Mark II - 1984: US $25
・ EXs143 Purgatory Creek CP-70b: US $25
・ EXs144 Purgatory Creek Reed EPs: US $25
・ EXs145 Purgatory Creek Clavinet C: US $25
・ EXs146 Purgatory Creek Reed EP 140b: US $25
・ EXs147 Acousticsamples C7 Grand Close: US $99
・ EXs148 Acousticsamples C7 Grand Player: US $99
・ Purgatory Creek Soundware Bundle Pack Vol. 1

・ EXs161 Bolder Concert Grand Hammered Dulcimer: US $29
・ EXs162 Bolder Hammered Dulcimer: US $29
・ Dulcimer Trilogy Bundle Package: US $58
Buy any 2 of Dulcimer libraries, EXs160, EXs161 and EXs162, and receive the remaining 3rd Dulcimer or any of the Bolder libraries, EXs100 - EXs108, at no extra charge.

KApro:
・ EXs127 KApro Legacy 16 Bit Classics Vol.1: US $99
・ EXs128 KApro Legacy 16 Bit Classics Vol.2: US $99
・ EXs129 KApro Erhu: US $49
* * *
Note:
All of new EXs libraries require KRONOS System Version 3.0.4 or later.
EXs demo versions and authorization codes
As always, you can download and try out all EXs libraries for free. Initially, they will work in demo mode. You'll be able to play, edit, and save Programs, Combis, Wave Sequences, and Songs which use the new samples - but until you purchase an authorization code, their sound will fade out periodically. To purchase an authorization code, go to the online shop at https://shop.korg.com/kronos/SoundLibraries. Once purchased, entering the authorization code into the KRONOS removes the audio limitations of demo mode - no additional downloads required.
Best regards,
KORG

Wow. That makes me feel good. I'm the one that actually reported that bug to Dan. He wasn't aware that it wasn't working and he said he would make sure it got to the right people.

And lookie here... he really did it. That's awesome customer support.

"reach out and touch someone if you can"

Thanks DAN!!!!

Every time there is a new upgrade, I pray it will include a useful 64 bit editor that would allow the Kronos to be used as plug in for DAW recording.

•The KRONOS Plug-in Editor is compatible with DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) and other applications which have support for the VST and AU audio plug-in formats. (32-bit plug-in only. This plug-in is not currently available in 64-bit)

I will keep hoping!!

Hi. Are there brave ones who already tried updating to this new update on first Kronos? Is everything ok? And can Kronos be downgraded if there are any issues? Thanks.
