Could someone let me know an easy way to have multiple "all" files on the same card.

Might be dumb question.....sorry.

I use my computer to move my allsample files to their own folders along with any patterns that go with that set of samples.

Someone should make a video for you tube explaining this. Can you change the name of the all sample files as long as you keep the correct .all at the end?

Yes, you can change the names of the .all files. You'll have to import them manually when you want to use them and only the e2sSample.all file would autoload when booting up. Same as the pattern files. I have multiple .all files in all my sd cards.

same as music magus - been doing that since day one. Works well for me.

I always keep the main folder free of separate files to ensure if i do change an allsample file I can be sure I can export it without overwriting the old one in case I want to keep that.

So I export all samples. Put the SD card in computer. Save with a different name.

Reboot the ES2. Load sample whatever.all file.

But when you export all samples again it is a different .all file?

This seems ridiculous.

I must be missing something.

That's why I keep the top level clear - if you import an allsample you already had renamed in a computer - if you change any samples you cant export it again with the same name or rename it via the ES2

it will always come out with that same generic name.

I actually don't have that big of a problem with the sampler. Maybe its because I've only used hardware samplers and am use to workarounds and appreciate the limitations but even the file management on the Roland Sp-202 makes more sense than this.
