There are some vocoder patches and some basic filters but not many, if you are mostly filter rather than synths then get the kaosspad. Also there is no hold position so you have to keep your finger down, or I just use a piece of blu-tack to hold it down.

SparkLE, Launchpad mini, Koassilator, inferior acoustic instruments

You can hold a note on the KPro. Just press shift, keep it pressed and then release your finger from the touch pad, and then release the shift button.

Oh thanks! that will help, feel somewhat foolish now, can i be done on the MicroKORG too? 'cos I also use blutack to hold notes on the microKORG when using it as an effects pedal for the audio input.

I'm not certain. Maybe you could try latching a one-note arpegiator with a 100% gate time that might work. Haven't had a microKorg for a few years now.
