|
|
Hi
I assumed restoring to factory setting will fill all banks, a and b, with arp. However some banks on a and b are empty. Is that how they are set up? Is it possible to save patches/sounds in them ( by initializing )
Thank you

Hello,
Which board are you referring to: microKorg(XL)(+), MS2K or ARP Odyssey?

Hi,
Euhm, I'm still a bit confused your question. In particular by this: 'with arp' (what do you mean by that?) and by saying 'empty' (what do you hear when playing it?).
After restoring factory settings, all patches should have the factory sound. Meaning, each patch should have some nice sound to play with. In the microKorg, there is normally no such thing as an empty slot. They will all have something in it. You will like some of them better than the others. The ones you don't like, you overwrite with your own created program.
Though, not all patches will have the arpeggiator enabled by default. Is that what you are looking for?

Thanks for responding.
After factory re-settings, sounds arp etc..some slots are "empty, no sound. This is when ARP is turn on and for the patches without the ARP.
Thank you |

Hello,
That is indeed very strange. No sound at all... It is even abnormal.
Can you still edit such a program till at least something comes out? Can you store it then and recall succesfully?

Hello OPAmp,
I have been using the filled banks…spending ore time with the volcas. I will try your suggestion to see if this is permanent freak problem.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Cheers |

I had the same thing happen to me the other day.
Check the clock source. Change it to internal and play with the tempo knob; see if that brings the sound back.
I had mine on external clock and unplugged from my other gear. So there was no clock to speak of, so the arp wouldn't trigger. |
