I love Korg because of the fabulous piano sounds - I am looking for an arranger with a variety of sounds and rhythms that can be easily created, stored and saved and accessed while performing. Can you recommend the best Korg for me?

The question is quite broad, so it's difficult to come up with a definitive answer hence, I suspect, the lack of replies.

There is no mention of budget in the question, but if it's within your price range, the Korg Pa4X is a very capable instrument, and worth considering. That capability does come with a certain level of complexity, so requires an element of familiarisation, if you've not used it or one of its predecessors before. There are quite a few YouTube video demos worth watching.

Further down the price range are the Pa900, Pa600, Pa300. Less capable, but might fit your needs. Again, lots of YouTube videos to watch.

Hi Vanessa,

For a total newbie Korg workstations are pretty complicated to learn. Korg is making them for ages and they have been adding new features on each new series. Yet the user interface is far from being intuitive. No matter what specific model you pick it will take quite a lot of time (and frustration at first) to master.

I picked Kross 88 for the great piano sounds and the piano style keyboard. I use it in my studio for piano play, composing and as MIDI controller & sequencer for other gear. It's perfect for my needs but be warned: the UI can sometimes be awkward! Fortunately there is a plugin control software which makes life much easier.

Cheers,
D.
