|

Hi, I own a Korg x-50 and it has started restarting itself while I'm playing it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? My thought is to restore factory settings. Thanks |

Since many of the X-50's problems seem to involve the socket to the power supply board, I would guess (and it's only a guess, sorry...) that it's restarting because contact is being lost there somehow, and with the power level dipping below an acceptable threshold, the unit reboots itself, or tries to power-cycle again, when the contact reestablishes sufficient current connectivity to the source of DC. |

It happened to me onced...
I was in a gig... while playing, it restarted maybe for 5 times consecutively... them the 6th restart, no display anymore...no sound... no light from the buttons (combi, prog etc.)
I was so worried... upon arriving home, I opened the keyboard.. refreshed the cables.... wiped the power supply board with a cotton with alcohol... and closed it back..... I plugged it, and its working again...
some say, it might be a cause of a failing power supply board ( as x50s always main problem aside from LCD failure..) |
