I used to be A Yamaha User particularly Arranger Keyboards and used to make Backing Tracks on those Keyboards which were in MIDI format
Now that i have shifted to a Workstation keyboard KRONOS i am totally baffled how to make use of my Huge collection.

Well, you've not really stated a problem. You've said that you had huge midi collections through Yamaha workstations... What's the problem?

Are you trying to bring your MIDI's into the Kronos and can't? (Kronos does support general MIDI)

Are you bringing in files but they're not playing properly? (Maybe the Yamaha arranger didn't use General MIDI when it was assigning patches? Or it did but it was a setting used in the arranger?)

Where did you get your MIDI files?

I think before anyone can help, you need to articulate your problem a little more clearly Smile

Does your Yamaha arranger allow to save your midis in GM format (general midi standard)?

soundsofplanet has provided a video tutorial, showing how you can convert GM files from PCs for Kronos use. It's essentially the same procedure with GM files from an arranger keyboard (and could even be done via PC import in this case as well, for faster workflow within a PC DAW):
