Hi there,

1 - Can anyone tell me what the USB port does? I was hoping Id plug it into my mac and the Electribe Sampler would show up as a drive. Much like my MPC. However I plug it in and nothing happens at all?
On my MPC I have to set it to go into USB mode. I cant see an option for that. The manual is terrible. More like a quick start guide.
What am I doing wrong.

2 - Also, can anyone please tell me how I wipe some of the samples and patterns. I want my own stuff on there. If possible it would be nice to pick and choose but if not Id rather just have my own sounds. The whole reason for buying a sampler.
I can see under the data menu I can do this one by one. Seriously? Cant I whop in a USB plug and do this on the computer. Guess I can this being 2016 and all but lack the knowledge hence Q1

Regards, any help appreciated.

Loch

USB is for usb midi. You need to put the sd card in your computer (or card reader) to access it.
There are at least two sample editors out there that allow you varying degrees of control over your sample pool.. I use them both as one allows me to replace the factory sounds and the other allows editing of loop points etc.

Hiya mate.

Ah so the USB does nothing but MIDI?

Could you please share the names of the software you use. Surprised Korg don't bundle this free. Sure they did with my KP3

Thanks for the quick reply.

This is the best editor or actually librarian. It allows you to load up and organize your samples into mono and loops to and export to sample All files:

http://www.appification.de/ElectribeSampleManager/

For window, this is free. For mac users its $10

There is another guy who's working on a complete sample editor for the ES2. It's buggy at this point but we hear the software will be complete real soon.

Regarding the USB, you can midi sync your computer the the ES2 and also use the ES2 as an external controller for your DAW, which is pretty damn cool.

Thanks mate. Appreciated.

I was just coming on here to report back.
I found this one.

Its al right.

Cant figure out how to select more than one sample at a time. Maybe you cant. Even if you cant its a hell of a lot better than nothing

KORG - You have let us down here mind! The Electribe Sampler is a good 70%. But with better software it could easily be a 95'er!

Loading and sorting samples is a pain in the arse! And 'No' official editor? Why? A USB port thats just used for MIDI? Why? Why not be able to plug the whole unit in and navigate from computer.

All the above no's yet you can integrate with Ableton?

No official editor software bundled? Or even in production??

Who makes these decisions? How much do they get paid? Can I have their job?
