Hi ..... I would like to know the differences between them regarding

1 - the sound engine ( RX - DNC )
2 - are the sounds of the same quality ( strings - trumpes - Sax - woodwinds )

I know the Piano sounds are not good at all in the PA 600 .... and I expect it to be the same with the 300

I used to have a PA 600 but I sold it ......... now I am missing some of it's sounds ( specially the movie strings and class conrabass ....... are they the same on the PA 300 ??

Yea, there are 4 "movie strings" and the "Class.Contrabass" on pa300. I dont know if its exactly the same in Oscilators, like on pa600, but i tend to believe it is. Someone said to me that factory styles on pa300 sounds better than pa600's, but dunno if its true or not.
All DNC sounds on pa600, you can find them in pa300 as RX Sounds.
The piano sounds is not that good, you're right, but with 32mb of samples, you can import a better one.

@angelito I wanna ask a question about if you know someone who can modify the OS of the Pa300 so that we can add DNC control to Pa300...
Does it make any sense? I don't know. Just came to my mind. Those PADs which are almost useless while playing live mode right? Why cant we assign them as DNC controls?

Sorry, but this does make sense, Pa300 is not design to control DNC sounds.
... PADs.... I don't think is even possible to make them control anything else, Pads buttons are not even control midi messages, I think they hardwired only for Pads.

Hi,
Can anyone help me discover if we can use some parts of MP3 file on Pads that can be played along style?
And
Is it possible to loop ?

Also can we record our own custom pads?

Thanks

Not Possible.
Not supported any Audio file for Pads, only midi 1 track version.
Pads can be as loop or once run.
Can be custom recorded.
Pads works same way as Tracks in Style, can be sync to Tempo and transpose to chord playing.

Just one more thing: can we choose if we want a pad to play once or looped?

In Record/Edit Pad is option, you chose there: Pad Type Loop or Once.
In Style play Pad is playing as saved, only in record mode can be changed.

Considering these features on Yamaha, Do you find KORG better than Yamaha for performing live?

Is some topic here on forum comparing Yamaha with Korg.
Try to read them there for opinion from people who owned both.
Here on this Topic let's stick to Pads on Korg. Wink
