LOL! I'm guessing it's before your time, but we used to play the Locarno when it first opened, 61/62-ish. Wally Johnstone was the resident band with Ray Ferraro on piano.
All the big acts used to play there in the sixties, Stones, Who, Ike & Tina Turner and so on, and it was about 5/- to get in.
It's a bingo hall now, or something.
