|
|
Hi, I purchased a Korg Volca Beats a few months ago as I loved the sound of the analogue drums. I also have a couple of Monotrons and a Monotribe and I am beggining to start recording them into my DAW through an Audio Interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2).
The problem is that I am very unsure on how to record the Volca Beats through an audio interface, as it only has Sync in/out and Midi In ports.
I had a browse on the internet but couldn't find much to help me.
Can I use these to record into the audio interface or do I need to do it a different way entirely, or alternatively is it not possible to record the Volca Beats into my DAW at all? |

You could use the headphone out. |

Can anyone confirm this works? I'm interested in buying a Volca Beats and would definitely want to be able to record through my Scarlett 2i2. Many thanks |

Yes, use the headphone output, and I can confirm that yes, it definitely works.

Hi!
You have to plug your Volca Beats line out (headphones) to your soundcard.
Then, you must configure I/O options.
You also create a MIDI Drumrack and insert 8 Externar Instrument on the first 8 pads. You have to know that every part of the Volca Beats (kick, snare, clap, etc.) is assigned to a note, so you could configurate them to assign every sound for every pad
I'm going to search a video where it's explained better
Cheers! |
