Hey guys, a few days back i started my korg pa800 to work on it as usual, but instead of normal booting, i got SSD media error, press media key to format. which i did. thus is formatted the nand and gave the screen "usb enabled..OS not present!"
after this i followed the normal procedure to restore the OS.
but the problem is that the keyboard doesnt detect any USB PD/HD in front or back ports. tried formatting them to dos and tried all sizes from 1,2,4,8,16 gb drives..even used the HD. what am i missing ? is there something more to be done ?
well so here i am, hoping you guys can guide me..as all my work is on the keyboard Sad

Hello.
This is not a good sign...
If you know how to enter test mode , go inside and make the first tests (till TGL finishes). It will probably not even get there though...
The next thing you should try is installing a fresh copy of the OS by pressing INTRO 1 and power it on...Of course you need to have the OS in the USB as a .pkg file.
If it can't even see the usb device you plugged in (try more than one usb sticks) then your CPU board is faulty.
I had the same problem on mine some years ago...

I think i am not allowed to say this in public due to the forum rules.
Try to install a fresh copy of the OS as i described before doing anything else..
If it still doesn't work you need to replace the cpu board or get it fixed...
I fixed mine as i repair keyboards...

It's time to lose your pocket bcoz now you'll have to Purchase Korg Pa800 Motherboard which will 100% solve your problem. One of my friend has encountered the same problem years ago and he had to purchased the MOBO. Even he had entered in pa800 diagnostic mode several times but corrupted SSD didn't let detect any Thumbdrive/Flash Drive/USB. BAD NEWS FOR YOU!

Crying or Very sad
