Hi, I just bought a Triton Studio 88, and I was very excited about this purchase, until it started spontaneously rebooting. I have also now had a couple of errors of the same kind as you posted.

I have been wondering if it is a power supply (KLM-2289 inside my keyboard) problem or a mainboard (KLM-2283 inside my keyboard) problem. Did they tell you what it was about the mainboard that needed to be fixed? I can't exactly return it, but I really wasn't anticipating $300-400 to fix the keyboard on top of what I just spent for it. Anyway, I may be stuck taking it in for repair, because the mainboard - a KLM-2283 is impossible to find online right now.

I upgraded the OS from 1.03 to 2.02 and I haven't seen any problems for a few days, knock on wood.

I'm having the same exact problem now in August - Sept 2022 with my Korg Triton Extreme where I turn it on and the screen lights up "all white (blank)" but the Korg logo never appears.

Eventually the error message comes up:

SYSTEM ERROR
Type: 0x00000000
Code: 0x00000180
Info1: 0xA0001438
data is 0x35638B06 at 0xA0001438
Info2: 0xA00020B0
Current Task ID: 1

This seems like a hard drive is failing issue. So as far as attempting to replace the internal hard drive, does anyone know if the Korg Triton Extreme can function with a solid state hard drive? And does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of Gigabytes it's internal hard drive can be, and still be compatible as the installed hard drive inside the Korg Triton Extreme?

I also own the Korg Kronos 2 - which is of course way better! But I want to keep my Triton Extreme running as well. This will probably be DIY since I have the money for a new hard drive and the time to do the replacement.

Since my last post, I have read that the Korg Triton Extreme does NOT have an internal hard drive? Does anyone know if this is true?

This is indeed true. The Triton Extreme uses onboard NOR and NAND Flash memory devices for internal storage. External hard drives can be connected, via the USB port, though not all hard drives are guaranteed to work.
