With my midi pedal board (FCB1010) I can trigger single notes on my karma using the note-on feature.
I want to trigger entire chords using the Chord Trigger buttons.
I want to assign pedals on my board to trigger the 4 buttons on the Karma.
Can I do this?
The CC#s are 87-90

Probably better for the FCB Forums but since I was already here posting...
(see my sequencer question please)

Have you tried using Pads?

Assign Chords to Pads and then Trigger Pads externally.

Can you be more specific?
I have enough gear onstage already Crying or Very sad
What Pads are you referring to?
The chord trigger buttons are perfect, just need to be able to trigger them
via my pedal board.
Thx

You assign chords to the 8 Chord Pads (basic/vectors>pads) the Kronos Has.

Then in Global / Try midi CC# Assign on controllers / scales and assign a note or cc to trigger each of these pads which in turn will trigger whatever the chords are have programmed on each of them.

I'm borrowing a Korg Karma keyboard for a week, and am interested in doing the same thing as the OP.

In my band, I'm the main keyboardist, and I use FCB 1010 pedals to trigger my Kronos pads so that I can use my feet to trigger pre-programmed notes and chords for my Kronos. I want to do the same with the Karma.

I've scoured the Basic Guide and the Parameter Guide on how to do this. Nowhere does it mention associated MIDI CCs or MIDI NOTES for the CHORD TRIGGER pads. This is the info needed to program the FCB 1010.

When I get home from work, I will see if I can hook up a MIDI monitor to see if pressing the chord trigger keys sends a MIDI CC# or NOTE before it plays its assigned chords.

I think I found out how to do it!

Haven't dug into my FCB to test this yet, but wanted to share this:

1) Press GLOBAL mode
2) select Karm2 tab (F3 button)
3) Navigate to the CHORD TRIGGER section on the right (arrow keys under the jog wheel)

Here you can set each Chord Trigger button to a specific MIDI CC#.

Unfortunately for me, I've set my FCB foot pedals to send the lowest MIDI notes (C-1 to A-1), because that's what I have my Kronos pads set up to respond to. For the Korg Karma, I'm going to have to re-program a bank on my FCB with MIDI CCs, but at least it looks possible to trigger the Korg Karma chords remotely...

HTH

So in your case, you would go to GLOBAL/Karm2/Chord TRigger page and set button 1 to MIDI CC# 87, then chord trigger button 2 to MIDI CC# 88, and so on. Good luck!

You didnt scour hard enough Cool
on pg. 242 of the Parameter guide it lists all the CC's and functions.
Near the bottom are the 4 Chord trigger CC's.
Although for trigger 1 there's a misprint (it says 84) should be 87.

I will follow up on your suggestion and get back.
Thx!! Smile

ok, I went into global and assigned trigger 1 to CC87
then on the FCB, I assigned controller 1 (Pad #6) to CC87, w/ 127 as a value.
But when I step on pad 6 (in preset mode), I hear nothing.
I then tried assigning Expression Pedal 1 to CC87, but still hear nothing when I depress it.
