Dead key on MS2000. I've cleaned the entire synth with 91% alcohol, cleaned the contacts and used a different rubber contact to test and still one key will not work. Looks like there was possible water damage due to rust on two of the screws. I've replaced all the rusty screws and cleaned entire pcb keyboard. Picture attached. It's the contact directly in the middle of the image above/below the 2 screws.

The image is blurry, so not easy to make a definite judgement, but there appears to be corrosion damage to one or more tracks. This can be checked using a multimeter set to the low resistance range. It is also worth checking where else the water may have gone, for possible further damage. |

Here is a better image:

Checked the resistors and all around and on the damaged key read 0.697 & 0.700 on 2KOhm. Although there is still a decent amount of rust near by I've cleaned most of it and there appears to be no more water damage anywhere else. |
