So I have a pad sound that I really like, and I have tweaked a bit.
The ribbon controller sweeps the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter.
And it sounds great. I can swell the pad up and build ups in songs, and I can lock the ribbon with SW2, which is also nice.

But my problem is this. Where the program starts out, is not ideal for me on the cutoff frequency. It's slightly higher than I want, and so when I call up the patch, the first thing I have to do is slide the ribbon down a bit to get the sound more mellow. And that is where I want to start from. But you can't save the ribbon controller starting position in the patch, because it's a performance control.

But I know there has got to be a way to set this in the program settings, to set a cutoff frequency for a neutral ribbon position. But for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

Can someone please help?

Also as a side note I am using this prog in a combi mostly, so I will have to make the change at the program level, and then will the combi automatically update with the new settings, or will I need to change the timbre and then back again to refresh the new settings?

Thanks!!!!

In program mode go to the filter pages and change the cutoff frequency for the patch.

I will try that thanks!

You don't have to do anything on the filter mod page?

That did the trick.

It seems so simple, but somehow I missed it before.

Thanks!
