Hi, im from italy and 2 weeks ago i bought my first korg esx. my problem is: every time i must load a sample, i press shift +16 in global mode, i press 16 for load, then appear the write LOAD ALL, i select it but give me NO FILES ERROR. If i roll down from LOAD ALL, to WAV, i press 16 and i can load my sample. But i dont want load samples one by one... its me the problem , the smart media or the ESX? thanks for answers |

working from memory here but I believe load all is to load an ESX file, not all samples.
BUT, go look for the program Open Electribe Editior, which will allow you to create and ESX file easily and load up a bunch of your samples into it at once. you can also use the editor to set things like stretch length, and assign samples to slots in patterns so it's all ready to go when you load the ESX file. _________________ Korg gear I own:
electribes EA-1,ER-1,2x ES-1, EMX-1SD, ESX-1SD
DW 8000, Wavestation SR, KP3, Volca Beats, Keys MS 2000 R
Korg gear I've used extensively:
M1, Triton Pro-x 88, SG-1D, NanoPad, NanoKontrol |

Not sure I'd say more difficult, but the EMX is a bit more Imediate, no loading samples and what not it's always ready to go. I own both, and the EMX gets used more often because of this. Also the keyboard parts of the ESX are ok, but not really advanced enough to make great sampled instruments, but you can do basic stuff with them.
You can make whole tracks on either, but the combo of the two is much better, ESX for Drums and loops, Emx for synths. _________________ Korg gear I own:
