Hello everyone, I own a Microstation and I just read I can use the pcg tools.

What does exactly Pcg Tools do?

Am I able to load and use different banks, like Triton's and stuff?

Is the computer specs important or it's just the interface to transfer the bank?
Can i use the the microstation editor with a Triton bank?

Thanks

The microSTATION section in this forum might be more appropriate.

The answers to a couple of your questions can be found here:

http://pcgtools.mkspace.nl/index.html

There's no harm in experimenting generally, but remember to back up all the stuff on the microSTATION first.

Programs and Combis from the M3 and M50 are more likely to stand a chance of being compatible.

Already answsered on the PCG Tools FB thread:

Shortly: if your Microstation can read a PCG file (from Triton), you can use PCG Tools to edit it.

On the main web site is a manual and more info (see the link in my logo below).

I think microStation PCG files work too (but I have to check)... did you try?

Or do you mean why you cannot use e.g. Kronos PCG files in a microStation? Because each model has different samples/synth engines/parameters etc, so most models are not compatible with eachother. Only some models are somewhat compatible;

Korg Tritons / microStation
Korg Triton / Karma
Korg M50 / Korg M3
Korg Kronos / Korg Oasys

(maybe I miss some)
