Just a question about installing it.

I noticed there wasn't an install file or instructions.

I downloaded the Steinway Vintage D.rar file and extracted it. In the resulting folder, there are .KSC,.PCG and three more .RAR files.

Do i further extract the three .RAR files first?

I assumed so, so I extracted them and they produced three folders called Steinway D 01, Steinway D 02 and Steinway D 03. Inside of each is a folder with the same name and inside of the that are .KMP files and more folders with .KSF files in them.

Long story short. What do I copy over to the hard drive in my Kronos?

Is it the entire Steinway Vintage D folder minus the three now extracted .RAR files?

Is it the entire Steinway Vintage D folder that came from the original downloaded .RAR file?

Is there a problem if, for example, a Steinway D 01 directory is nested inside of a Steinway D 01 directory? Should the files be within the first directory so that Kronos can find them?

I've read that some of you have installed the Steinway files. How exactly did you do it?

Yes I'm new to this.

Thanks very much

Hello, you need to:
-Unrar the 460mb .rar file
-then unrar the others 3 .rar files Steinway D 01, 02 y 03
-delete the .rar files (once unpacked the kronos dont need them)

and thats it... load the usarbank 01.ksc , 02 and 03

Thanks for sharing!

Would love to try this, but after loading Steinway D 01_UserBank.KSC, Steinway D 02_UserBank.KSC, and Steinway D 03_UserBank.KSC to KSC Auto-Load, the indicated RAM Size and Disk Size are 0 for all three. I am doing something wrong. Would some kind soul give me hand?

Here's a screenshot of the folder in Kronos. Does it look correct?

You have to copy them first to your kronos ssd. I had the same problem first if i loaded them from the stick.

Thanks. I did that, then I used the Add KSC function in KSC Auto-Load. Is that incorrect? How exactly did you proceed after copying everything to an SSD?

That's exactly what I did. Hmm.

Trying again.....

I got this message:

Auto Load Error

The following KSC files refer to unavailable sample data:
Steinway D 01_Userbank KSC, Steinway D 02_Userbank KSC, Steinway D 03_Userbank KSC.

The saga continues.... Brick wall

I'll try extracting with a different app.... .

And that worked!

This Piano is a lovely addition to my Kronos X. Really good vintage sound, gives another color(s) to this already colorful machine. Thank you so much!

Thanks again, nitrocs, for making this nice piano available. I am enjoying it now. It layers beautifully with my Integra 7 Full Grand 1. Cheers!

Wow, thanks so much - this is a fantastic resource! I particularly love the dynamic range - it lends such weight to the keys, as if you were playing a real acoustic grand. And it's so expressive!

@zengomi (or others who have troubles): make sure your unzip program doesn't create an extra nested folder. The folders go directly in the main folder; for example, when extracting Steinway D 01.rar, make sure it extracts to ".../Steinway Vintage D 01/STEIN*.KMP", not ".../Steinway Vintage D 01/Steinway Vintage D 01/STEIN*.KMP"
