Did Korg dump the Vox Continental project. Thought they were going try a VOXY lady resurgence _________________ Korg Kronos II - Instant Karma's Gonna Get You, Synth Wars - The Rise of the KARP 2600, OBX8 Kenobi - The Return of the Synth, KARP & Odyessey, Moog One - The Poly Menace, Vintage 2016 Model D, Voyager of Sinbad XL, Fooger Family of Six, Three Mothers Like No Others, Naboo Royal MiniTaur, MoogClaraVox, Criklon V2, in living color, Elektron RytmII Avenue, Neuman U67 |

Korg ARP2600 - $3400.00? Now where is my SuperTramp Dreamer Track... Just not sure why the KARPO Module would be released so close to launch date. _________________ Korg Kronos II - Instant Karma's Gonna Get You, Synth Wars - The Rise of the KARP 2600, OBX8 Kenobi - The Return of the Synth, KARP & Odyessey, Moog One - The Poly Menace, Vintage 2016 Model D, Voyager of Sinbad XL, Fooger Family of Six, Three Mothers Like No Others, Naboo Royal MiniTaur, MoogClaraVox, Criklon V2, in living color, Elektron RytmII Avenue, Neuman U67 |

Yes you heard it here first folks....
Each of the Colours represents a Version of the ARP2600,or Filter revision, the cases were Tolex covered which is the texture of this, obviously there was a blue and grey meanie and also a black face version,I believe there was 4 revisions of the 2600 the red could perhaps be the orange livered model and the champagne colour was used on the type face for the Standalone Sequencer..
Yes there's 4 coloured versions based on the original revisions an 86% of the original size KARP2600 plus additional sequencer
if only!!!

If you are handy with a soldering iron it looks like the TTSH pcb is having a rerun: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=169949&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I have my name on the list but if there is a 1000 to 1 chance that Korg re-releases the 2600 I will quite happily go for one! |

If, by chance, it IS a 2600 I wouldn't expect it to be as relatively inexpensive as the Odyssey - I'll hazard a guess at $1999 - $2499
Remember that there are four tolexed case parts (main unit, keyboard and both lids - they would probably have to be hand built), the sheer amount of hardware involved is costly, even if it's all built with 3, 4 or 5 PCBs.
... and for something as serious and grand as the 2600, It deserves to be full size, including the keyboard. In a strange way, I'm glad I don't even have to consider getting one _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

I think it's very much NOT a 2600. That thing is very niche and it isn't as marketable as, say, an affordable Polysix recreation. Korg is in to sell a lot of product, and 2600 reissue would need to be very expensive in order to pay itself back.
So given that, it's much more likely that they're going in small steps: first the Volcas, then the MS20 Mini, then Oddy reissue, then Minilogue, and now possibly Polysix reissue. Makes total sense to me. |

Does the hint refer to just one product or the release of several products?
When it comes to reissues there are several candidates which might fit the bill.
If it is just one new product I guess it's probably analog, maybe even a maxilogue.
On the other hand, it would be very nice if it turns out to be a new workstation... |

i've posted this comment on the kronos forum
---------------
from the texture it looks like a hard cabin or aluminum case - maybe not a keyboard or maybe it's some coloured variations of a pre-announced product like the minilogue
---------------
it's similar to the case of the texture of the real enclosure of the ARP Odyssey but with different colours, so it's not plastic thus it's not the successor of the krome and it's not the way they used to tease for a flagship workstation so it's neither the successor of the kronos
as someone pointed out before the colours are of the polysix - it's maybe something like the kingkorg or something close to analogue |

The more I think about it the more I think it just might be an ARP 2600, iPad app or AU/VST.😜

That's because it won't happen. See above for my thoughts about why it won't happen... at least not just yet. |
