Not sure what topic this should fall under- I'm looking for something with 8-10 pads or buttons that will trigger samples off its own internal storage or SD card, NOT from a computer. (I need it for live gigs and my computers are unreliable)
I've downloaded apps on the phone that will do this, but there's always a delay so it's not practical for live gigs. Also, the free apps only playback very short samples- and some of the ones I need to trigger are several minutes long.
I'm hoping Korg makes an inexpensive dedicated device that will do the trick... |

The Korg Electribe Sampler 2 might be sufficient. Max sample memory is 270sec monaural.
Korg microSampler offers up to 160sec of sampling.
The Akai MPX8 allows up to 30MB of samples loaded as mono WAV files, whilst the MPX16 allows mono or stereo WAV samples to be used, up to 48MB at a time.

Thanks. I've been looking into the mpx8 because it takes an SD card, it's not tied to a computer. I'll check out the other two as well. |

Look at the new Roli Blocks, but it will require the iPad iPhone app as well or any out board gear that is MPE |
