Hey,

Sorry if this has been asked before but im getting really frustrated after searching through different forums and watched videos about this.. I have successfully plugged my microkorg to my PCs audio interface (ESI Juli@) and I can see in Ableton Live 9 that its receiving midi and audio. However for some reason i cant get Live 9 to play back the sounds of korg after ive recorded it into Live..
I want to have midi and audio playback.. I want to be able to draw midi notes and when i play it back, it plays back the korg patch i have.. Only way i could record audio from korg was to an audio channel but then its in audio form only.. if u understand. Another thing, Korg SoundEditor does not recognize my korg for some reason?? what could this be..

Could be a number of things.

If I understand your correctly, you're trying to output MIDI from your DAW into your MicroKORG and then run the audio back into the DAW.

First just make sure everything is connected correctly. Sorry if I'm just restating the obvious here, but you need to have the audio outputs of your MicroKORG connected to the audio input of your audio interface. Likewise, when connecting the MIDI connections, you need to connect OUT on the MicroKORG into IN on the interface, and visa versa.

It's easy to accidentally plug an input into an input or an output into an output, which obviously won't work.

If you can play on your MicroKORG and the sound shows up in your DAW, then you know you at least have the audio connected correctly.

Make sure to set the MicroKORG and your DAW to the same MIDI channel.
