I realized I let my account expire where this PDF file was hosted, so I have now uploaded it to Mediafire and have updated the link in the first post.

h2a2p, thanks for that guide -- it saved me a lot of hassle. I'll be posting some reference code (in C, using the portmidi library) soon for anyone who's interested in it.

One thing about the PDF, I noticed in the section that details what the X/Y pad sends out, it has an additional message. In my code this message is treated like any other face button (since they both have the same operation: 0x48) as the pressed/release status of button 0x20. If you check it against the rest of the face buttons you'll see it's exactly the same kind of message.

Any update on that C reference? Are making some API so one can use it to code a stand alone application? I've thought about this using C#. Keep us posted.

hello,

I've zero knowledge about programming, will I be able to use native mode? I want to customise my padkontrol to use all the available buttons for use in my Cubase..

any help which app i should instal to enter into native mode, and actually how to switch the padkontrol into native mode?

regards
