Just posting to welcome myself to the Minilogue family...

Only the second Analog synth I've ever owned (I had a Juno 6 for a few months about 10 years ago) got it today and have very little idea how to use it...but I brought it to band practice anyway. The bassist and singer had even less idea what they were doing, but we all came up with great stuff just blundering around on the controls!

"Bet you can play Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds on that", someone suggested.

I had a passable sound in under a minute! (Preset sound "Late Summer" plus fiddling with the delay) Just proves it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fly this particular spaceship.

We're also transfixed by sound #2 "PWM Strings".

Never thought I'd have an analog synth for under $2000. Can't wait to actually learn how to use it. My first question will probably be about the Delay- I don't quite understand how it works.

Welcome! Loving the Minilogue too....awesome synth! I agree, Minilogue seems like it's easy to just play around with and get great sounds! I'm eagerly waiting for any enhancements Korg might have in store for us in the way of OS upgrades! Minilogue is selling well and is pretty popular, a big hit for Korg, they definitely knocked it out of the park with this one! In a way they did like they did in the 80's with the Polysix....made an awesome analog poly synth at a great price and made it accessible ....but they didn't seem to skimp...the thing is an awesome synth!

I'm having fun running it through my different effects I have in my other rig and studio and I'm saving up for a new toys to run the ML through! It sounds EXCELLENT when run though a good analog chorus unit(like so many of the 80's synths had on board)....good way to "stereoize" the mono output!

Here's the Minilogue played through a Strymon Big Sky reverb pedal. For the first time ever I can see why someone would pay $400+ for a reverb pedal- wow!

I've come a long way in just two weeks with the Minilogue. Since I still don't know what I'm doing, I try to match all sorts of different sounds- Jump/Subdivisions (pretty much the same sound), Lucy in the Sky, Strawberry Fields, etc. I came pretty close to this sound too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czotUDZkszU

(Yes, it's an old PBS logo) Still haven't figured out how to make that swell automatically, without manually turning the big knob. Any ideas?
