So I have brought my Korg Kross home from my recording studio to play around with my home studio setup. My home studio setup consists of an Ensoniq SQ-R, Ensoniq VFX, Ensoniq VFX-SD, (2) Roland P-55 and a Roland M-SE1. I have determined, at least for now, that my Korg Kross, aside from a piano sound, does not seem to play well with the other equipment, sound-wise.

There seems to be a real loss of fidelity in the Kross compared to all of the other gear through the mixer. There seems to be such life and animation with the other gear that is being lost with the Kross. Maybe the M50 or the Trinity will be different if I decide to bring them home.
Right now, the piano sounds are coming from the pair of Roland P-55 units, linked together to double the polyphony. There is a life and spread to the sound that I am not getting with the Kross.

I have a finished album right now ready for release and was mostly done on the Korg equipment (with the exception of the Ensoniq SQ-R units for pad sound support). It sounds great and there is depth and life to it.

Has anyone experienced something like this as well? All mixer settings, for all gear, are flat. I left all the gear flat in the studio as well so I have consistency in that department.
