I have a Microkorg I've had for a good while but the last couple times I've picked it up its been sounding weird. Most patches will cut or fade out after a couple seconds of playing and are sometimes replaced by feedback or other weird noises. If I switch to another patch and come back it will work fine for another couple seconds. It does the same thing with ac cable and batteries. Also tried out the demo mode and everything sounded fine on that. The only thing I could think could've happened was it did spend a cold night in my car? Don't know if that could have done any damage.. Any suggestions appreciated!

Seems very strange...
I would think that a cold night can not cause that damage. How cold was it actually? Freezing?

I would bring it to a dealer or to someone who has some experience in opening up a synth and dropping a look to the PCB.

Good luck.

Yeah a good deal below freezing, probably down to the negatives (in F). I tried contacting Korg product support so we'll see what they say. Did a little looking around in there just out of curiosity, but probably better to leave anything serious to a specialist.
