Hi, newbie here so please be gentle! I play trad. and often a Bodhran where the tonal changes are by hand pressure to the back of the skin. I was experimenting with sound bars to increase the tonal variation when I came across the Wavedrum so I just had to have one of these fabulous instruments which I have had now for a couple of weeks. I am a bit appalled though with the poor quality of the skin which appears to be delaminating. Is this normal after such a short time? I am used to having to play in a skin over several months, at this rate this will struggle to make a month! I will try to post a photo if this site will let me. Whilst talking about quality the power supply is a bit poor for a product of this spec no? The rotary switches don't look too robust either, any worries about those? Thanks for looking, Mark

Yeah, that's a thing that happens, but it's just the fiber coating on the actual mylar of the head that's coming off. The integrity of the head itself is uncompromised, but the lack of texture can affect some playing styles.

Swapping out the stock head for a black suede one is pretty standard operating procedure... it's a generally more responsive surface, and the texture lasts pretty much forever.
