How would you rate the quallity of the Korg gadgets sounds and effects compared to Hardware like the Korg Kronos, or even compared to high end Vst's and effects?

You can get a pro sound quicker in gadget than in most DAW's using VST's. Sure, synths like Serum have more 'amazing' single presets but getting these sounds to fit in a mix is not easy. gadget excels at this - each different instrument gels with the others.

I would say that the sound quality is EXCELLENT and they do sit very nicely in the mix. They are simplified enough you can just rip in and start writing very effectively.

However, the main difference you will note is far less depth of configuration than your hardware choices. If you value individualisation of a tone within the tone generator then a synth VST or hardware is going to be superior.

Of course, you can use Gadget sounds and individualise them other ways using effects or your channel strip or whatever.

But your question is difficult because I think the breadth of functionality across the Gadget suite is possibly also superior to most single hardware elements.
