Hey all
I'm coming with a noob question as searched tutorials and forums for some idea of what I am missing.
Basically what I want to know is in similar vein to the sequencers on the volcas can the sq1 also do the same? What I mean is when I start the sequencer in volcas it runs through each step blank till I start playing some notes. I would like to be able to do similar with the ms mini and sq1 but can't seem to find (a) how to do it or (b) if it can do it.
Any nudges in the right direction would be a great help as currently when I connect the ms mini and sq1 it just plays a note which I can then manipulate and play with but can't make my own sequence so far.
Help!! And thanks ! |

Hi,
Euhm, strange. When you connect them you should not hear anything before hitting the play button on the SQ1.
How do you connect them?
Important: also check that the gating mode of the SQ1 is negative. (See the Global settings). Otherwise the SQ1 opens the gate of the mini in Idle/stop mode.
From then on it is turning the knobs to get the right note. When you select the gate on/off mode, you can disable notes in the sequence.
