Midid Out in Chain Mode?

I have my Electribe on midi out to my Nord synth. Electribe being the master and Nord being the slave. When it's not in chain mode and I manually change the pattern on the Electribe the midi out works fine and automatically changes to matching Nord pattern. But when in chain mode, when the next electribe pattern plays, the Nord synth stays on the same pattern. Is there a setting I'm not seeing here?

Also

When in chain mode and you want to skip to the next pattern in less bars than you have saved in the chain mode. is there a way of jumping quickly to the next pattern?

Any help would be much appreciated. Marie
