Don't buy it.
There - job done.
Or -
In my experience it's too late: you're already dangling on the hook; it's only a matter of time before you'll be wrenched up over the side of the boat into the music store |

Saw a video showing intermittent missing pulse attacks which is completely unmusical. I love the motion recording but I really must have to give it a miss. |

Yep, using the onboard sequencer can be a bit hit and miss once you start using the roll Touch FX. You end up with all sorts of unwanted clicks if you are not on the money with your presses and releases. BUT, i've found by sequencing the notes on my Monologue and MIDI the two of them together, the Touch FX rolls become much cleaner and predictable. You can still record motion sequences on the Kick too.
The Kick was an impulse purchase for me. It doesn't get used anywhere near as much as my other Volcas and it's sound pallette heavily overlaps with the Beats and the Monologue. I'm forever on the verge of selling it but every now and again i dig it out, fool around with it, smile and decide it's a keeper. I don't see it as a staple ingredient though, more like a different flavour when you fancy a different flavour. Looks lovely though... _________________ If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.
Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad. |

I like the pitched note uses especially how you can have a kick then a sub bass on the off beat. Very cool. |
