Anyone know how to rename styles in PA3X?
Or do I need to use a special software?

You can't re-name the factory styles. Also you don't change the STS here either.
You create a style in FAVORITES. PRESS Record (next to screen), OK to edit Current Style, go to top right drop-down menu and WRITE Style. There you can call it what you want and place it in a FAVORITE slot. To finish go back to drop-down menu and EXIT FROM RECORD.
Advantages;
1. You always have the original styles.
2. If you ever reload a new Korg Resources file, all your alterations will be lost! If you save your FAVORITES before installing the new Resources, then you just re-load your favorites back.
Once you have created your favorites style, you can change/modify the STS's and style components by WRITE SINGLE TOUCH SETTING or WRITE CURRENT STYLE from the drop-down menu.
Cheers

I've never tried to rename a factory style, but I think you have to first unlock factory styles and then you can do whatever you want. I don't work with factory styles at all, so not sure about this.

I have done what Clavie has described, works perfectly! When you do this with Pa1x 2x styles it converts it to the Pa3x format. Quite a handy way to set up styles the way you want and leave the factory styles alone. Takes 1 minute to back up all your favs and user styles.
