Bought this MicroKorg at a garage sale for nothing but it doesn't work. The previous owner said that someone plugged in the wrong power cord and burned the chip. I really want to fix this. Should I buy a new main board or what else can I do?

Ouch, that does not look good.
It is the main processor that is burnt. (H8S/2320) You could try to replace it, but looking at the damaga, maybe other components are broken as well, but not necessarily visible... So it may take a while before it start to do something... If you ever succeed.
Replacing the main board is a good approach. But why bothering to do that? Find another second hand unit I would say.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
