Apologies for re-posting this, but I originally posted this in the Triton Studio section and there doesn't seem to be much activity there.

Does anyone know how to increase the Gain of the Triton output in a uniform way via SPDIF? The Volume control doesn't affect the digital SPDIF out, and I need to ensure uniform boosting across the entire spectrum, to get the best possible signal when re-sampling or recording digitally in Cubase. The Cubase faders don't seem to boost the level by much, although I could add a gain in Cubase, but I'd prefer to boost the signal at source anyway for better quality. I would expect to be able to set the Triton Master EQ Cut Off frequency of the High and Low bands to the same value, e.g. 500Hz and increase the Gain level for both, but not use the Mid Gain by keeping it at zero. However, using this method seems to introduce tonal changes and that is what I want to avoid.

Thanks,

Andy.

Assuming the Triton patch has a normal level in relation to the other patches, you're obsessing over something that isn't worth the obsession. There is no noise floor with a digital connection and 16 bit is plenty of resolution to accommodate a gain change.

In addition, any artificial boosting you'd do in the Triton is most likely of lower quality than what you could do in the computer, or at least not better.
