Yes you can.
There's a detailed section on kit editing around page 394 in the latest User Manual.

I don't edit kits except for using the STYLE drum mapping occasionally (Page 212) - this might be an option for you too.

Cheers

Hi Pete
You seems to know this machine very well.
Now I have another question for you.
I usually record my own styles, and I record all on C major chord.
To record a intro with chords progression (lets say is a minor chord song)
Do i have to record it on minor chord right?
Thanks JP

If you are recording INTRO1 or ENDING1 then you must play the chords YOU want to hear for a particular CV.

For VARs etc the general rule is to record CM7 then most other chords will be detected more accurately when you play the style.
Also make sure you set your chord assignments for the CVs (if you are creating more than 1 CV)

I don't do much style creation these days as I find the 1000's I already have always seem to offer me something suitable (or at least tweakable)

Cheers

I create my own styles just for the type of music I play
Kizomba, and other Caribbean music.

Ok Pete
If you like these type of music i will email you one of my work.
Kizomba is very popular all over the world, special here in The USA.
It is a popular dance music down the south.

Hello my fellow Korg enthusiastic.
I am having a little problem recording intros.
I record an intro using CM7, my song is to be played in D major.
When I trigger the D major chord and start the intro I'm geeting a different chord
E major instead of D major, what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
JP

That's got to be a "Chord/type" issue in Style Record mode. Are you sure what you've recorded for the Intro section is actually in the key of C? It sounds like you have it recorded in the key of D but you've set the chord type to C.....so every time you play a chord it gets transposed a whole step higher ....

Hi Sam
You are exactly right, I record the intro in D major and I set the chords in CM7.
I thought that's the way it's done, I am new to Pa's. I've been an workstation user for long time. Now, since I recorded it in D major, can I just set up in DM7? or I have to record it in CM7.
Thanks
JP

Yeah...the key/chord status has to match the content You need to set the key/chord to DM7 if that's what you have.

Here you can see that I've programmed the tracks in the key of Bm:

Thanks Sam
Now, if I want to record intro "let's say in A minor chords", how do I set the Pa?

First you choose a CV....say i1cv1 , or v4cv3 or whatever...you record your ideas in the key of Am ...As long as you set the key/chord to Am for that particular CV...the arranger will transpose the chords in Style play mode.
