|
|
My Pa3x standby button blinking red LED, I have to press and hold it for 15 seconds or more in order to boot and startup. If I hold down the standby button together with Intro 1 buttons, it will start normally to setup menu.
I suspect the Battery is dead! Can someone confirm and let me know which part to buy? (Preferably not made in China!)
Thanks all! |

When Pa3x standby button red LED is blinking it means that charger is trying to charge NiMH batteries !
If after 8 hours with Pa3X connected in power supply , LED is still blinking this means that batteries need to be replaced !
But there is a case where one or more batteries of six elements pack could be shorted and in this situation charger is overloaded ,
turn on do not respond normally and batteries might explode with overheating ...
In this case you have to disconnect batteries untill you will get a new NiMH batteries pack !!!
Genuine batteries pack is not actually a genuine NiMH pack , it's rather a Chinese refurbished/clone type of lower quality batteries
that I do not recommend !
My advice : simple users to ask a technician to create a new pack of 6 NiMH batteries using the best AA NiMH batteries for this
purpose , Sanyo eneloop AA 2000mAh that provides 2100 discharging cyrcles and will last at least for 5 years with no issues !

Yes, it help much! Thanks for the info.
So I should try to have it plug in the AC and wait 8 hours to see if it charged?
I was only play with the Pa3x once in a while and mostly had it disconnected with the AC and only reconnect when needed! this probably why the battery is low and blinking. |

Hi The blinking light suggests the batteries need boost,I play my 4x
more than the 3 and when I think about it I turn on the 3 and the light
starts to blink, leave it on and turn it off when the light is solid,

I have mentioned many times in the past that Pa3X use rechargeable batteries in order to preserve
Ram data for faster preloading , and regardless if turned off (ST-BY button or Power switch) batteries
still working for 3 days and then preloading wiil be lost !
If you charge them and then you turn off main power switch , then you make a hole in the water , batteries
will be discharged , and one life circle of summary 400 of those batteries will be lost and in less than
2 years you have to replace them !
Therefore if you want to preserve preloading and save betteries life you have to keep Pa3X plugged in main
power supply and power switch at "ON" state , else you'd better disconnect them permanately !

So what's a gigging musician supposed to do? Shame that a professional machine should have to work this way. _________________ When I nod my head . . . Hit it!

Try to have it plugged to mains when you not "moving" , but considering this case , it's not a big deal to buy earlier
a new battery pack , or not to use it at all ... _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

Thanks, Antony. Think I'd better start scouting around for those Sanyo Enerloop batteries you mentioned earlier. _________________ When I nod my head . . . Hit it!
