|
|
I want to add Mellotron sounds to my live rig and I want to go hardware.
I played a friend's XL+ some time ago and it had really nice tron violins and flute. So nice, that I could get past the mini keys. Is it possible to load other tron samples on it as well?
I don't want to get a Nord Electro as I also use an old CX-3 and Pianet N in my setup, I just want to add tron sounds and not spend too much money. Is the XL+ my best bet or should I maybe look at a microsampler and sample all the tron sounds I want? Maybe Korg makes something else that I overlooked? |

the strings and the flute are the only tron sounds available on the mkxl+. there's no possibility of loading new samples either.
i understand that you want to go hardware, but there are many free mellotron vsts out there and they sound great. |
