Thanks

For my tunes, I am satisfied with the Kronos Flutes. They sound quite nice in the mix. Some FX helps them. I use to play Flute so its a little easier for me to capture flute parts.

I also have the EXs 17/18 and its possible there is a flute or 2 in the 18

Is there some specific genre you are trying to cover ?

Thanks for replying Greg.

Well besides western music, I also do a lot of Bollywood music work. For which I require more flute options.

In fact if there is any IFX that you feel works for you a lot when you use the flute, do let me know.

Meanwhile I'll check the EXs17/18

nothing surprising. Some 7 band EQ when the flute needs some help. reverb , the type depends on the Song.

I will add EQ depending on the mix

Exs 17/18 is the 2 yr old " New SoundPack " from Korg. If you have a K2, I vaguely recall Korg included some extra sample packs. Check your global as you might already have this

I was just replying to that.

I already have that library as I use the K2 :p
My bad.

But a quick question, there isn't any sound pack available that is just dedicated to some cool flute sounds? I did find some stuff for brass and sax but none for flute in the Korg website

It's not a dedicated pack for flute, but Bolders World Music (EXS102) has 2 Flutes. I don't know how they sound, but you could install the demo to test them.

Good luck finding flutes that work seamlessly into bollywood.
The best results I have had been through converting some soundfonts and kontakt Libraries as well as my arranger keyboard (pa600).
try runnng a parallel effect through the decimator and tube peamp for a little lo-fi and driven sound and mix to taste.
