I have Krome 88 with not working touch screen. LCD works fine i can see all the graphics and text just no touch anywhere on the screen. After spending hours reading forums and any other sites for suggestion what the solution could be the most suggesting solution was new touch screen. So i did order new LCD with touch screen from Korg. I did replace the whole LCD yesterday with hope that the problem will be solved. But the touch is not working even with the new screen. When I press anywhere on the screen the is no sound and no any reaction to my selection. Zero. Anybody have any experience with this kind of problem? Any suggestion?

I am looking at a second user Kronos with the same problem, no touchscreen responses at all, have not purchased this keyboard yet but your experience of fitting a new screen with still the same resulting problem is a bit worrying to say the least?

Ok I finally solve my touch screen problem. Even after installing new screen the touch was still not working. So I did take the keyboard to friend of mine who knows more about electronics than I do. So we did open the keyboard and he did found out that there is a white color ribbon cable between the first PCB board where the screen is connected and the second PCB board. This cable was broken. No signal was passing through. So I did buy cable from eBay for $20 and problem solved. Touch is working now. Very Happy

So I just bought a used Krome 88.. Ebay, so I couldn't "test" it first...

The unit showed up and upon booting up, 2 lines showed up on the screen running from right to left running thru the top half of the KORG logo on the screen.

I tried to establish if these lines were in the photos on eBay, but they are just too fuzzy to see.

Anyway... What is likely to cause this? and is it indicative of future issues?
