Is there a way to re-order my Setlists (eg alphabetic)?

At the moment, they simply list in the date order that each Setlist was created. Example, if I were to create a new Setlist , it would simply be appended to the bottom of the dropdown list.

Not keen to use the Songbook Editor program, if that is the only solution?

Thanks for your reply.

I was hoping I might be able to re-sort Setlists through the onboard Pa4x menus, but I guess that is not possible.

Unless I misunderstand your question while I can understand the desire to be able to have a alphabetical order in practice Setlist is something different, I've yet to hear a band or anyone come to think of it that performs their setlist in alphabetical order ?

The whole idea of Setlist is a set of songs placed in running order of the intended performance and in the case of the way this is implemented on the Pa4x it gives you the freedom to not only have multiple setlists drawn from the Songbook but also the ability to be able to reorder the songs in those setlists and if you wanted you could oder them as you wish.

I find the Setlist function to work as one would expect hence why I was puzzled with your questions Very Happy

Hi Mintjammin,

Thanks for your reply, but yes, you have misunderstood the question. I am not trying to re-arrange the songs within a Setlist (which is easy to do). Rather, to re-arrange the Setlists themselves .

For example, I might have Setlists called 'Pop', 'Weddings' , 'Church', 'Sixties', 'Restaurant'.... and want change their order in the dropdown list.

This is exactly what I want to do with my SETLIST (Arranging in alphabetical order in the dropdown list.).
I play with many different singers at the same gig and It would be more practical to organize alphabetically
my Set List in order to find them fast during the live performance for different singers.

1 wood
2 bill
3 weddings
4 abe

.. I think the number come up first..
just do this in the songbook and then copy it to your pa4x

Have used Songbook Editor for the first time now.

I can confirm that the Songbook Editor allows you to re-arrange the order of your setlists (not the content, the lists themselves eg Dance, Easy Listening, Hits, Karaoke)

Go to songbook GENRE and add a #1 to each song.....then when you search by "GENRE" all you songs will be alphabetically in order first on your song list works great.

This is the only known way to do that.
That task cannot be performed via instrument.
