This is actually a trick that you can fool Pa4X OS v.2 and use a variation/fill/ending/intro in any mode (except guitar mode)
and only advanced PaSeries users must try it ...
This procedure is mostly useful for style developers in case that an extra percussion loop or an extra DK is needed in one
variation/fill where there is no available Perc or Dr style track.

So , I will describe the workflow of an example that an already existing Acc 5 track of a Style with midi events , will be
altered in variation 2 as Perc/Dr mode track :
- While in Style Play/recording /menu / Style Tracks Controls/Type Trg/Tns , click on ACC arrow and select Perc or Dr.
- Press EXIT , set element :Var 2 (CV1-6) , click on ACC5 , change assignment Trk:Acc5 sound with the time sliced loop
user SOUND or DK you need.
- Record your Perc/Dr. or copy an existing track from another style using MENU/Style Edit/Style Copy for instance V1-CV1
to V2/CV2 , from Track : Drum/Perc/any ACC to Track : Acc5.
- Check the result using Element Trk Controls/Var2 and if all are OK
EXIT (while in Var2) go back to menu / Style Tracks Controls/Type Trg/Tns , click on Perc or Dr arrow and set it back to Acc.
- Press EXIT , set element :Var 2 (CV1-6) , click on Acc5 and set :
NTT type : fixed
NTT table : No Transpose
key : C
chord :major
- Be sure that Menu/Element Trk Controls/range/ACC5 is set from A0 to C8.
- Check that all other Style variations/CV with melodic instruments are set as NTT Type parallel and not as "No Transpose" , review your
effect send and write your style.
Note that you can anytime edit back Style and Acc5 melodic instruments.
