Hi - I know there are midi clock issues with them. But will two keep time with one another. E.g. Feeding drums machine patterns into one and sequenced synth parts into another. I am guessing they should. And what about when you are switching on and off the eight mute/ button things- can you do this freely on both with no timing issues- or will it soon drift into mush?
Thanks

It's pretty much impossible to synchronise loops forever, even when they are the same length. They will slip, sooner or later. Try it with one KP; take two samples of the same length and see how long before they slip. Korg even acknowledges this and include a resync function to help us keep things in time.

OK- thanks. I already have one KP3+. And was hoping to find out before buying another. So they will keep time for a while. That's fine- I only intend to make audio loops to drop into Launchpad- so I can stop and start when I want.

I must disagree here megamarkd ,
They do stay rock solid.
I understand they can drift - but only when sampled at dferrent tempos.
Sample loops at same tempo and they never drift. Even when left on all night.
I have two kp3s and love them for 8 sample loops.
If one does drift coz orinally sampled at different tempo ,then just resample.
Triggering loops on and off is ace and rock solid, just have appropriate setting in edit page. Option 1 I think.
If saved and turned off, then reloaded it does reset the Start point to all align from initial sample recording start, which robs us of the syncapation between start points (that's why I leave them on all night) and also sample programs 1-7 will do this start point shift,so need avoiding when working with loops.
Other than that..a total blast.
I can even achive rock solid midi clock by sampling click track.playing it via headphone out into a midified Monotribe which then outputs excellent midi clock.
This, unfortunately ties up a whole KP ,but I'm working towards a workflow that drops (records) the kp tempo click track onto another bit of gear like an 8 track.

Hmm, didn't think about the tempo thing. I use mine for talking samples usually. MIDI on it have always been fine I've found, never had an issue with tempo synchronised effects.
